Look up in the night sky where you live and count the number of stars you can see. If you can, like where I live, then your city or town suffers from a really bad case of light pollution. Light pollution is a growing problem not just in the United States, but all across the world. And while the photograph above makes for a cool pic, all it really does is illustrate the malady in a visual way.
